Congratulations to Joelle Martin for being selected as our Interviewer of the Month for the month of July!  Joelle has worked for the SESRC since November 2011.  Throughout Joelle’s academic career, she has contributed to the SESRC’s success as an interviewer, monitor and now as a supervisor assistant.  Joelle plans on moving to Virginia in August to start on her PhD program in transitional biology, medicine and health.  When asked what was the most difficult telephone project to work on, Joelle replied, “The hardest project was GAP. It was not easy asking people if they would eat pork from a pig that had some organs harvested for transplantation. I just had to ask the question like it wasn’t bizarre and hope the respondent didn’t think I was joking!”

Reflecting on her time spent with the SESRC, Joelle shared the following, “It is hard to pick just one favorite thing about the SESRC, I have never worked at a place where employees are so appreciated and have the opportunity to move up and receive promotions.  The supervisors are so friendly and always ready to help and joke around with you.  It’s just a fun place to work (once you get used to it) and I will miss it a lot.”
